Dedalus in Motion
Mike Judge employs a very specific sense of humor. It’s not as far out as the crass Something About Mary type-films, nor as sophomoric as the Superbad brand of humor, nor comparable to any other brand of humor on the market... Mike Judge’s films contain a very dry sort of wit that’s grounded in the mundanity of everyday life. There is no sensationalism here. Granted, there’s a fair share of absurdity, and some pretty bleak assumptions about people, but these are presented with a wry tongue in the proverbial cheek.
That said, if that brand of humor suits you, you are likely to enjoy Extract. The performances commit to the silly world in which they exist, and the script crafts each of those characters in a way that is worldly and true. Not my brand of humor, though, and I think Office Space is a better foray into Judge’s humor - if you haven’t seen it.

Extract: A specific brand of humor
