Dedalus in Motion
Dedalus in Motion
This is low-budget filmmaking at its best. A budget proportioned in all the right places, well-chosen cast and crew, and true innovation on every front.
Moon is not for the meek of mind, not for the audience member who sees film “to escape.” It is very uncomfortable in moments, very beautiful/poignant in others. It comments on humanity, science and space travel all in a single moment.
Word of advice - don’t watch the trailer before you see it. It spoils a bit too much, and destroys the first act with pregnant anticipation of key events to come. If you love sci-fi, just check it out.
Bravo to Duncan Jones on his first feature endeavor! And bravo to the investor who knew this $5 million venture was worth braving.

Moon: Sci-fi in its purest form
