A friend came over for dinner, and brought this little gem with him.  Man, oh man, that this film exists is an offense to every mediocre writer in the nation...

Their intentions were noble.  The film aims to honor the music and history of the Appalachian people.  Unfortunately, it does so in such a series of cliches and painfully overacted portrayals that I’d go so far as to call it culturally insensitive.

Even if you’re curious for the music, like we were...trust me...  Don’t.
