Dedalus in Motion
Jason Reitman hits again in this follow up to his witty and sarcastic Thank You For Smoking in 2005. Juno explores a world of quirky and heavily-written characters - think Wes Anderson meets Igby Goes Down.
Juno's only real moments of weakness come when the script is a bit *too* heavy-handed in its wit. Sometimes the dialogue is so forced a viewer can literally feel the hand of shoving in their back.
That small flaw aside, the characters are interesting and human, and 90% of the dialogue balances reality and uber-intelligence quite well. Ellen Page is incredibly charming, Michael Cera turns in his usual awkwardly likable bit, and the cast around them each have gleaming moments.
I saw this with my parents (in their late 50s), and was somewhat surprised that it appealed to both their sense of humor and my own.

Juno: Someone else does Wes Anderson
